- 2001-2005: Studied at the University of Hanover (teacher training for special education, specialising in education for learning disabilities and education for behavioural disorders, subjects: sport and biology)
- 2006-2007: Trainee teacher at the Studienseminar Wolfenbüttel with training at the Pestalozzischule Salzgitter-Lebenstedt (special school specialising in learning)
- 2007-2008: Employment as a fire brigade teacher at the Pestalozzi School in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt
- 2008-2013: Special school teacher at the Pestalozzi School in Rinteln (special school specialising in learning)
