It was an eventful week at the Institute of Sports Science and in Hanover!
Our sports students were represented at the DHM Swimming Championships—both as competitors and as active supporters of the event.
In addition, Prof. Dr. Vera Volkmann and Prof. Dr. Melanie Krüger represented the Institute and the University during the ExU inspection. Furthermore, the former, as a member of the Senate, was actively involved in the exchange and evaluation processes within the Senate and with the international board as part of the excellence review.
Research also took place during the excursion week: In the block seminar “Which muscle responds first?”, students worked with Prof. Dr. Eric J. Stöhr to investigate a current issue in sports physiology and gained insights into real research work.
